CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — June 15, 2026

UFG Insurance is pleased to announce that Greg Francis has been appointed vice president (VP), field operations. In this role, he will be responsible for developing and executing market strategies to drive profitability and growth across multiple business units, supporting agency partners at both the national and local levels. 

He has been a member of UFG since 2025, serving as VP, underwriting enablement prior to this appointment. “Greg is a dynamic, people-centered leader with broad underwriting expertise, a proven record of strategic execution and excellent relationship skills that position him well for driving success in the field,” said UFG Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Julie Stephenson.

An accomplished leader, Mr. Francis has over 35 years of insurance industry experience, serving in numerous leadership roles at three large national carriers before joining UFG. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College.
