UFG proudly marks its 80th year in business
Founded by Scott McIntyre Sr., UFG was officially incorporated as United Casualty Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 2, 1946. Since that time, the company has grown and evolved significantly, currently employing over 850 professionals across the country and partnering with approximately 850 independent agencies coast to coast.
Throughout its history, UFG has remained committed to its values of service, partnerships, innovation, respect, integrity and trust, as well as its founding principle of doing business and treating people the right way — an inspiring hallmark of its people-centered culture that remains ingrained within company walls and demonstrated daily through its service to agents and policyholders.
In recent years, UFG has embarked on a strategic transformation to deepen expertise across all functional areas, evolve its capabilities to better serve customers’ changing needs and improve alignment with its agents. The company’s dedication to delivering value to its customers through deep expertise, specialized capabilities, personal relationships and responsive service is a strong differentiator.
