UFG appoints Joe Mischik as VP of financial planning and analysis

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — July 10, 2025

UFG Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Mischik as vice president of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Eric Martin. In this role, Mischik will be responsible for overseeing internal management reporting, expense and premium reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting.

Man smiling.Mischik joined UFG in 2024, serving as director of expense management and reporting prior to this appointment. He has nearly 20 years of experience in financial planning and analysis at large property-and-casualty insurance companies. 

“Since joining UFG late last year, Joe has added tremendous value to our corporate finance team and processes,” said Martin. “I am very confident that Joe will thrive in his new role as we continue to strengthen our company’s financial planning and analysis function for long-term success.” 

Mischik graduated from Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a bachelor of science in business administration (BSBA). He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
