CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – November 19, 2020

UFG Insurance is proud to announce that it has named Kevin Waldron as UFG Surety regional manager.

Waldron brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to his new role at UFG, most recently with Chubb Surety where he worked his way up from underwriting manager to senior vice president and director. He also supported surety branch underwriting activities across the U.S., including the northeast, mid-Atlantic and southeast, for the construction group and small construction division. Waldron brings extensive experience in underwriter development that he will use to further expand UFG Surety’s operations.

“To say that we are excited about Kevin joining the UFG Surety team is an understatement,” said Vice President and Director of Surety Dennis Richmann. “Kevin brings an abundance of industry knowledge and leadership that will be instrumental for our team going forward. We are thankful to have him onboard and this is truly an unprecedented time for UFG Surety.”

UFG Surety continues to add talented surety professionals in key areas as geographic expansion efforts continue. Waldron will be a tremendous asset as he works to build out territories east of the Mississippi.

“After nearly 30 years in the industry and the past 25 with one company it was hard to make the change,” said Waldron. “However, UFG was an easy choice based on the values they uphold and the strong results they produce. The people at UFG made me feel welcome from our first point of contact. I am looking forward to lending my expertise to help build out the surety platform while maintaining their established principles.”
