25 nonprofits awarded UFG Foundation grants in organization’s recent funding cycle
The UFG Foundation — a private foundation of commercial insurance carrier UFG Insurance —
is proud to announce $212,500 has been awarded to 25 nonprofits across the country through its most recent funding cycle.
Grants are supporting organizations in UFG headquarters’ state of Iowa, as well as Arizona, California, Colorado and New Jersey where the carrier has additional office locations.
“UFG is proud to call Cedar Rapids home for nearly 80 years and we’re equally proud of our coast-to-coast footprint,” explained UFG Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Sheeley, also a foundation representative. “The UFG Foundation is honored to mirror that pride by supporting even more communities across the country where our employees live and work.”

“We’re pleased to celebrate the 15 first-time UFG Foundation grant recipients that are part of this funding cycle as well,” Sheeley continued. “These new recipients allow the foundation to uplift communities in new, inspirational ways alongside those nonprofits we’ve known for years. We welcome applicants that are old or new to our support.”
Qualifying 501c3 nonprofits that demonstrate a connection to UFG’s vision, mission and values may apply for one of three types of grants, including programmatic funding, operating support or capital campaign (under certain circumstances).
