Platinum agency partners to receive reward-program payout

It’s a simple philosophy—a paradigm insurance man Scott McIntyre, Sr., believed so deeply he built an entire company upon it in 1946. Today that company remains as UFG Insurance and is firmly rooted in its founding fundamental, perhaps now more than ever.

People are turning to insurance agencies in diverse ways during this COVID-19 battle. And those agencies are working hard to navigate the uncharted waters of today’s socially distanced society. Whether mobilizing staff to work from home or rallying support for health and human services during this surreal time, UFG’s agent partners are doing their best to stay in lockstep with customers and communities who need them most.

That’s why UFG is automatically releasing more than $344,000 to Platinum-level partners who have earned reward dollars. 

“Typically, the Platinum Rewards program offers agencies an opportunity to re-invest in their future growth,” explains Vice President of Corporate Marketing Mike Sheeley. “They have an innovative idea, fill out a request form and we go from there. But the situation our society is facing today is far from typical.”

Dollars have already been used by some agencies to purchase laptops for employees to seamlessly work from home, while others have donated their rewards to nonprofit organizations.
“No matter what need might be brewing right now,” says Sheeley, “we want to do what we can to empower independent agents to be there for their communities as they always have. No hassles. No questions asked. It’s just the right way to do business.”
