The private foundation of UFG Insurance is proud to announce the recipients of its most recent funding cycle, awarding $177,500 to 17 nonprofits serving Eastern Iowa.
“UFG Foundation is celebrating 25 years of service to the community in 2024,” explained UFG Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Sheeley, also a foundation representative. “There’s no better way to commemorate our anniversary milestone than to continue building upon our legacy of care for one another.”
Grant recipients include:
- Boys and Girls Club of the Corridor.
- Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
- Cedar Rapids Opera.
- Community Health Free Clinic.
- Eastern Iowa Arts Academy.
- Eastern Iowa Health Center.
- Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa.
- JDRF Nebraska Iowa Chapter.
- National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.
- NewBoCo.
- Patrons for the Performing Arts.
- St. Lukes Health Care Foundation.
- The Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success.
- University of Iowa Center for Advancement.
- University of Northern Iowa Foundation.
- Waypoint.
- Willis Dady Emergency Shelter.
“The community-enhancing work underway at these organizations is crucial,” said Sheeley. “UFG is honored to play a role in helping them achieve their missions.”
Qualifying nonprofits who demonstrate a connection to UFG’s vision, mission and values may apply for one of three types of grants, including programmatic funding, operating support or capital campaign (under certain circumstances).
Grant cycles occur three times per year. The next application window is open now through August 31.
