CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — April 4, 2024
UFG Insurance is pleased to announce that Rocco Orlando has been named vice president of sales and distribution, effective April 1, 2024. In this new role, Orlando will oversee UFG’s national agency partnerships and execute sales and distribution strategies to drive profitable growth across the company’s business units. He will report to Senior Vice President of Field Operations Jeremy Bahl.
“Rocco is an accomplished insurance executive and strong addition to the UFG leadership team, bringing 35 years of relevant industry experience to the role,” said Bahl. “His broad expertise in sales, marketing and underwriting will benefit us tremendously as we work to deepen our national agency partnerships, drive profitable growth in our core commercial business, and build a robust sales culture anchored in rewarding distribution partnerships. Rocco has a proven track record of success, and we are proud to have him represent UFG in the field.” Orlando joins UFG from McGriff Insurance, where he served in numerous roles over an eight-year period, including carrier relations and brokerage leader, national property and casualty leader and chief marketing officer. Prior to that, he served in a variety of leadership roles at CNA Insurance, The Hartford and Chubb.
He has a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of Denver, and also earned the Certified Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Counselor professional certifications.
