CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Monday, August 26, 2024
UFG Insurance has been honored for innovative creative marketing from the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA). The Cedar Rapids-based P&C carrier’s corporate marketing department received one silver and two bronze 2024 IMCA Showcase Awards.
“Creativity and insurance are two words that can feel miles apart to those who aren’t in our industry,” explained Casey Prince, AVP, marketing communications manager at UFG. “But unique creative strategies are at play within insurance operations everyday — telling corporate stories in engaging ways.”
IMCA aims to “elevate the role of insurance marketing and communications professionals with networking, thought leadership and education,” the 101-year-old association explains on its website. Its annual Showcase Awards is in its 66th year of honoring “the best marketing-communications work.”
“Recognition by the IMCA is a testament to the value UFG places on marketing best practices and the creative professionals who successfully execute those strategies,” said Prince.
UFG’s honored work includes bronze-level video storytelling of community-based support and live video production of executive town hall gatherings, and silver-level accolades for its animated holiday greeting.
The company’s holiday greeting was also honored with a gold Telly Award — a premier awards program for video and television. Past winners include broadcasting juggernauts like FOX, HBO and ESPN.
“Being awarded a gold Telly is no small feat,” Prince stated. “To achieve top-level recognition from judges with backgrounds in television, streaming platforms and other entertainment industries is an honor.”
