The Strategy & Planning Specialist will focus on people, process and technology to drive improved customer experience and operational excellence. This position will participate in strategic planning and create methods to drive employee engagement through progress leadership. Through market research and collaboration with several UFG business units, this position will strive to continually improve the gold standard of UFG claims.                

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for oversight and continuous evaluation of the target operating model for the Claims organization. Proactively research and challenge current processes and technology within the target operating model.
  • Develop and maintain customer journeys within the target operating model.
  • Collaborate with several work streams to collect, review, and analyze customer feedback and develop key performance indicators of customer experience.
  • Research and evaluate customer expectations, considering demand from external market forces, and recommend solutions to various levels of leadership.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple work streams on innovation and the implementation of creative solutions.
  • Participate and provide support in the strategic planning process as well as carrying out strategic initiatives for the Claims organization.
  • Develop and implement progress leadership activities to engage claims organization.
  • Develop creative solutions to communicate progress and information throughout the Claims organization.
  • Collaborate with various levels of leadership to review staffing model and job descriptions. Recommend changes, as necessary, to maintain alignment with target operating model.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Underwriting, and Marketing to develop solutions that enhance customer experience, provide claim perspective for product design, and create ways to market to internal and external customers.
  • All other duties as assigned, relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience in bringing large projects to successful completion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software.
