The millennial generation is rapidly moving into the prime purchasing years of their life and more and more of them are starting their own business. Here to help us with this topic is, wait for it, a millennial. 

Millennial: Hi!

Okay insurance agents – listen up! Here’s what to do and what not to do when speaking with millennials.

The wrong way to talk to millennials:

Have a question? We slay with all the latest tech, meaning you can message me on my SnapFace and I’ll subtweet you an MP3 player on my internet dancing video.

Millennial: Uh. What?

The right way to talk to millennials:

We’re happy to chat via email or online messaging tools, whatever works for you. Just let us know what coverage you need and we’ll get you a quote ASAP!

Millennial: Sounds great!

The point here is to be honest and transparent and meet millennials where they are at, whether that’s social media, email, texting or otherwise. It’s not uncommon to bring a millennial on as a client and only meet them once or twice but communicate with them virtually a lot!
